This Penalty Policy forms an integral part of the Terms and Conditions and applies to all participants of the 5 AM Club program.

1. When a Penalty Applies
A penalty is imposed for any daily session where a participant:
- is absent from the 5:00 AM Zoom call,
- joins even 1 second after 5:00 AM, or
- keeps camera off during the call window.
2. Penalty Amount by Timezone
The standard penalty per applicable day is:
- American timezones: USD 15
- European timezones: EUR 14
- Gulf timezones: AED 39
- IST (India): INR 500
The applicable amount is based on the timezone assigned to your camp account.
3. Payment Deadline and Removal
Penalty must be paid before 9:00 PM on the same day to avoid removal from the active program.
4. Mandatory Workshop Non-Attendance
Camp inauguration and the Sleep Theory Workshop are mandatory. Non-attendance may attract the standard penalty amount and repeat telecast requirement.
5. Leave Policy (To Avoid Penalty)
Leave may be applied only through the official leave form linked in the WhatsApp group description.
- The leave form must be submitted before 9:00 PM of the previous day for the applied leave date(s).
- Leave requests posted in chat or sent by direct message to admins are not considered valid.
- If leave is marked, the day is treated as leave even if you join Zoom. No Brahma coins are allotted for leave-marked dates.
- If leave was marked by mistake, you may request support to revoke it before the session.
6. POW (Proof of Wake-up) Policy
If you are unsure of network reliability (for example, while traveling), you may apply for POW in advance.
- If you fail to join Zoom after applying POW, you must submit a screenshot before 5:00 AM showing:
- the camp WhatsApp group with the latest message visible,
- system time clearly visible.
- If valid proof is submitted, your status is treated as leave and no penalty is charged.
- If you join successfully, you are marked present.
- If you neither join nor submit valid proof, you are marked absent and penalty applies.
7. Non-Waiver Examples
Health issues, family emergencies, travel-related fatigue, ceremonies, or workload constraints do not automatically waive penalties. Any exception is processed only through approved leave or POW mechanisms.
8. Operational Enforcement
Operational determinations for attendance status, leave validity, POW validity, and penalty applicability are made by camp operations based on records and policy compliance.
